Debonding Pattern

The debonding layout can be entered directly into the grid by typing in each cell of a particular row. Click the Debond button to activate the Debonding Pattern as shown in the figure below. Here, you will see the same strands from the Strand Pattern bundled into strand groups of a maximum of two strands. For each group, you can modify the default jacking pull force or specify debonding from the beam end, or from midspan if using midspan debonding/shielding. The horizontal position of each group of strands is also shown in this screen, allowing you to pick the specific strands in a row which are to be debonded. This is useful for generating the schematic drawings in allowance with different local rules applying in the case of strand debonding.

Figure Debonding Pattern

Precast/Prestressed Girder will automatically generate an optimized debonding pattern by clicking the Auto Debond button. The program will use the values specified in the Debonding Length Increment and Maximum Auto-Debonding Percentage fields in the Materials tab, and regenerates the list of strands debonded based on these specifications. Click the Reset button to reset the list to all zero values for debonding. Click OK to accept all changes.
